January 4, 2007HD DVD and Blu-ray perform in shotgun wedding
Warner Bros has done the sensible thing and forged a single disk that will play on both HD DVD and Blu-ray disk drives.
The movie studio's chief executive Barry Meyer will officially unveil
the new Total Hi-Def disk on Tuesday at a CES press conference.
Hail to Warner Bros for ensuring that consumers don't have to go
looking for a HD-DVD or Blu-ray logo on their DVD disks in the future.
And shame on the two consortia for launching a standards war that is
all about making money and completely overlooked the end user.
